Orthodontic treatment is for most people an investment for their well being. The final cost of dental braces is determined by the extent of the adjustment, which method you choose as well as the clinic pricing and if you are qualified for NHS funding.

Orthodontic treatment cost

The cost of teeth straightening procedures depends on the method, if one or two jaws are being treated, how long the treatment length is (6-24 months), and how complicated your case is.

• Price for teeth straightening with traditional dental braces (fixed braces) is approximately £2,000-£2,500.
• Price for teeth straightening with invisible (lingual) dental braces behind the teeth is approximately £3000-£5000,
• Price for Invisalign teeth straightening with plastic rails is approximately £2,500-£4,500

Dental braces funded by NHS

Patients under the age of 18 needs to be referred to an orthodontist, by a dentist to get braces fitted.

Dental braces for adult patient is available for health reasons, with a standard fee of £219. However, the NHS does not fund orthodontic treatment for minor cosmetic problems.
