Default Tanning question

Hi ladies,

Do you know when you can start tanning again? Will it help if I put nipple protectors on to protect my scars?

Many thanks in advance

Sheila

I had my breast implants 6 months ago and I went tanning last week. I had those nipple protectors on my scars and everything went perfectly fine. But I would suggest you to wait if you just had your breast implants.

I think you should use self tanning spray instead, why risk skin cancer after spending all that money on your breasts?

Hi there

I am 4 weeks post op and I asked my doctor at my one week post op appointment. He said it was OK to start tanning whenever I wanted. Just make sure you always cover up your scars!

Best of luck,

Annie

Wondering the same thing, I am almost 2 months post op and I want to start tanning, especially now when I'm feeling much sexier! Love my new boobs.

My PS told me to wait a month and I honestly didn't put anything on my scar, and its pretty much invisible! I don't recommend that though!

I've read somewhere that tanning beds should be avoided completely for 3 months post op. Try a good fake tanning spray/lotion instead?

I'm almost 3 weeks PO now and really want to go tanning. I think I will just make sure that all incisions are covered well.

My PS made me sign a paper saying I wouldn't tan for a year. I have been using tanning lotion/spray so I'm just going to keep using that.
