Default Breast lift recovery time

I really need/want to get a lift, but I'd like to return to work, to normal activities and sports as soon as possible after the surgery. How long is the healing period after breast lift surgery?

Many thanks,
Meredith

I know everyone is different as far as the healing goes. I am 6 months post op, my PS told me that I need to wait until at least 2 weeks before returning back to work. At two weeks I was still tired, sore and swollen. The more you do the more you swell...

Full healing can take up to or over a year, I was out of work for 2 weeks and my healing took about four to five months total.

I'm assuming it depends on how much breast you remove.

Your PS will tell you how long you should take it easy and be off from work. I took 2 weeks off, but my job doesn't require much lifting. Most women take off anywhere from 1- 3 weeks. I was told not to do lifting for approx 6 weeks. Maybe you should look at the breast reduction forum b/c a lift and a reduction are very similar.

I'm almost 9 weeks post op, and I went back to the gym 2 weeks ago. My PS told me at my 7 week appointment that I could do anything I want in the gym. But no bench press or push ups.

My PS says the same thing about push ups and bench press. I am glad to hear he isn't the only one!

Girls, I'm SO jealous! I'm only 2 weeks post-op and I'm feeling SO lazy. Can't wait to get back to doing SOMETHING!
