Default Smoking before and after surgery?

I'm wondering why you have to stop smoking before getting your nose done? I'm not a smoker but my parents are and they smoke around me...

Thanks!

I think it's because smoking reduces your body's circulation, and smokers heal slower.

Hope that helps! Good luck.

When I had a breast reduction surgery and they warned me that if I smoke I needed to stop smoking. This was weeks before my surgery, if you smoke or if you're surrounded by people who smoke it will have a negative effect on healing and smoking significantly reduces your body's circulation and vascularity.

Good luck!

Default Wait as long as you can!

I stopped smoking 2 weeks before and about 3 weeks after surgery. My healing went perfectly fine with no complications thank god. But I would recommend all smokers to wait as long as they can. Just to be on the safe side...
